My Entrepreneurship Story

1. Being exposed to Entrepreneurship is a daily Occurrence for me back at home. Both my father and my grandfather being CPAs who have their own business and office. My father is not only an entrepreneur but he is also my role model. I wish to eventually follow in his footsteps and become an entrepreneur myself. I gained the full experience of what it is like being an entrepreneur this summer while working for my dad Five days a week. I got to sit in my dad’s office filing paperwork and seeing him talk to his clients. If I was lucky enough I accompanied him to his clients offices when he had to go see them. I learned that being an entrepreneur is a dream goal for me because I came to the realization I like it better when I’m not taking commands and being told what to do. Working both at an accounting office and a restaurant this past summer made my mind clear on what I wanted to do in the future. Getting told what to do was not ideal and I could confidently say i enjoyed working in my dad's office better than the restaurant.

Enrolling in ENT3003 was a easy decision for me. I believe that it is a good class to take not only being a business/accounting major but for anyone who has any thoughts of trying to start their own business. What I hope to get out of this class is to learn what it is like starting your own business. What are the steps you have to take to start a business and after starting it up how to maintain your own business to make sure that both you and your clients/customers are happy.
